Dr. Campion graduated from New Jersey Medical School in 1980. He completed a residency in General Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, Newark, New Jersey in 1985.  In 1986, he was board certified by the American College of Surgeons.

He has been an active attending surgeon since 1985 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center and St. Clare’s Hospital at both the Dover and Denville Campuses. Dr. Campion is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of General Surgeons, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

In 2000, he was honored for his work, by the American Cancer Society. He was recognized by New Jersey Monthly magazine, “Top Doc”, in General Surgery. He was chosen from a list of 5,000 doctors randomly surveyed to select their choices for doctors they would recommend in sixteen different medical fields.
